TL;DR
Senior Technical Product Manager (Medical Devices): Defining and delivering next-generation medical devices for precision brain medicine with an accent on product requirements, clinical needs, design controls, and commercialization. Focus on coordinating cross-functional development from concept through manufacturing transfer, resolving technical and regulatory tradeoffs, and aligning hardware, firmware, software, clinical, quality, and manufacturing teams.

Location: Hybrid role based in the Greater Boston area; in-person office hubs are available in Boston, New York, and the San Francisco Bay Area, with an additional hub in Paris.

Salary: $147,000–$167,000 per year, plus equity, PTO, and other benefits.

What you will do

  • Own product requirements, user needs, intended use, system-level product definition, and roadmaps for a major medical device product line.
  • Translate customer, clinical, technical, and business needs into development priorities.
  • Lead cross-functional product development from concept and feasibility through verification, validation, manufacturing transfer, commercialization, and sustaining engineering.
  • Coordinate usability studies, customer evaluations, clinical feedback, and product validation activities.
  • Lead tradeoff discussions covering functionality, usability, technical risk, manufacturability, regulatory requirements, cost, and schedule.
  • Coordinate suppliers, contract manufacturers, external partners, Agile practices, stakeholder communications, and product launches.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, biomedical engineering, business, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • 5–8 years of experience in product management, systems engineering, device development, or related technical leadership.
  • At least 3 years of experience developing and commercializing hardware, medical devices, wearables, or other multidisciplinary products.
  • Experience working with hardware, firmware, software, systems, manufacturing, quality, clinical, and regulatory teams.
  • Experience with design controls, requirements traceability, risk management, verification and validation, manufacturing transfer, and commercialization.
  • Strong technical, communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience in regulated industries such as medical devices, healthcare technology, or other safety-critical products.
  • Experience with Ketryx, Jira, Figma, GitHub, Asana, or similar product development and collaboration tools.
