Patient Responsibility, VOB & Authorization Specialist (ABA Billing)

What you will do

• Generate and send patient invoices for copays, deductibles, and coinsurance.
• Process patient payments, support payment plans, and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Verify insurance benefits and coverage for ABA therapy and ancillary services.
• Document benefits details and communicate coverage and authorization requirements to providers.
• Obtain, track, and follow up on prior authorizations with insurance companies.
• Communicate with clients by phone, email, and virtual meetings while following billing and revenue cycle workflows.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in insurance verification and authorization.
• Strong understanding of insurance processes and revenue cycle management.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in an organized and efficient manner.
• Confident and professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, customer-focused, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in a hybrid schedule associated with the Holmdel, New Jersey office.

Nice to have

• Experience with ABA, speech, occupational therapy, or physical therapy billing and authorizations.
• Experience with ABA billing and revenue cycle management.
