Product Manager (API)

Location: Remote. U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain Public Trust clearance are required.

What you will do

• Define and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business objectives.
• Gather, document, and prioritize functional and non-functional requirements with business and technical stakeholders.
• Plan and oversee end-to-end delivery of product initiatives within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog, user stories, acceptance criteria, risks, KPIs, and product documentation.
• Drive product enhancements using user feedback, analytics, and emerging technology trends.
• Manage a small team of product managers and coordinate with engineering, QA, security, business stakeholders, external partners, and leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Information Technology, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of product management or IT project management experience; the degree may be substituted with 8 years of experience.
• Experience in large-scale enterprise environments, preferably with API platforms, integration technologies, or complex API solutions for federal health clients.
• Strong understanding of APIs, microservices architecture, API management tools, cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience delivering complex IT projects or products in Agile environments and using backlog management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of security, authentication, and authorization standards, high-availability systems, stakeholder management, and team leadership.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Familiarity with OAuth and JWT.
• Previous experience delivering high-availability systems.
