Product Manager (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; hybrid

Base salary: $240,000–$270,000 per year, plus equity

Vapi builds a voice AI platform that enables developers and enterprises to deploy voice agents that listen, adapt, and resolve customer calls.

What you will do

• Own how customers create, configure, and manage voice agents on the platform.
• Drive integrations and tools that expand what agents can do during calls.
• Manage the lifecycle of supported models, from evaluation and onboarding through deprecation.
• Build reliable processes for adding the latest models and define evidence-based performance measurement.
• Run experimentation and research into agentic harnesses and translate new techniques into product features.
• Simplify the management of thousands of agent configuration parameters.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience, primarily building and operating technical products at meaningful scale.
• Strong technical foundation with the ability to reason about system design and architecture trade-offs alongside engineers.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills for working with engineers, executives, clients, and partners.
• Track record of owning customer and business outcomes.
• Experience building B2B or enterprise products with a strong customer focus.

Nice to have

• Experience managing AI model integrations across TTS, STT, or LLM providers.
• Direct experience with voice AI.
• Experience building developer platforms, infrastructure products, or API-first products.
• Experience developing model evaluation or benchmarking systems.
