M&T Bank is developing digital assets and enterprise payment capabilities within its banking and payments ecosystem.

What you will do

• Define and own the vision and roadmap for a large product or product set aligned with enterprise strategy.
• Prioritize backlogs, write user stories, define acceptance criteria, and support Acceptance Test-Driven Development.
• Lead agile ceremonies and collaborate with delivery teams to communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Represent customer needs, use design thinking and analytics, and focus product development on measurable outcomes.
• Coordinate customer journeys and dependent backlogs with other Product Owners and cross-functional teams.
• Manage delivery through influence while supporting risk management, internal controls, audits, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of business, analytical, technical, or product experience; alternatively, 10 years of combined higher education and work experience including 6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with payment rails and transaction processing, including Wire, ACH, Instant Payments, Zelle, digital assets, or emerging payment technologies.
• Experience with product management, Agile delivery, or payment operations.
• Ability to prioritize competing needs, make independent decisions, and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
• Knowledge of Agile and Lean principles, product design and development practices, and design thinking.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience developing or managing digital capabilities.
• Experience partnering with user experience teams on product design.
• Specific expertise in Payments, including Wire, ACH, Zelle, or Digital Assets.
