Director of Engineering

What you will do

• Define the product and engineering vision, long-term technology strategy, and architectural principles across engineering teams.
• Make organization-wide decisions on technology adoption, technology stacks, architecture, and external technology dependencies.
• Oversee software delivery, stakeholder expectations, timelines, and collaboration with external technology providers.
• Establish quality, testing, monitoring, security, compliance, and disaster recovery standards.
• Lead engineering teams and leaders, set performance goals, and develop training, mentorship, and talent pipeline initiatives.
• Define engineering metrics and prioritize continuous improvement and resource allocation.

Requirements

• Extensive software engineering experience with significant experience leading engineering teams and departments.
• Proven experience setting technical vision and architectural principles across multiple teams or an engineering organization.
• Experience evaluating technology stacks, managing external technology dependencies, and overseeing vendor relationships.
• Strong understanding of software quality, testing infrastructure, monitoring, security policies, compliance programs, and technology budgets.
• Strong people leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic technology planning skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, plus 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience and 3+ years in senior engineering leadership.
