Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer III (Designer)

Location: Hybrid in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, supporting the Philadelphia area team

What you will do

• Develop plumbing and fire protection systems, including sanitary and vent, storm, process waste, domestic water, laboratory, process gas, and sprinkler systems.
• Prepare calculations, reports, P&IDs, utility consumption summaries, piping plans, equipment plans, riser diagrams, construction drawings, and specifications.
• Support project delivery across feasibility studies, conceptual and schematic design, construction documentation, and construction administration.
• Prepare procurement documentation, technical specifications, equipment schedules, bid evaluations, and vendor inquiry packages.
• Coordinate with internal disciplines, vendors, clients, contractors, and other external project participants.
• Provide construction assistance through submittal reviews, RFI responses, field visits, code analysis, and equipment selection.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering degree; equivalent practical experience may be considered for a Designer.
• At least 5 years of design experience in a design firm setting.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or cell and gene therapy projects is preferred.
• FE registration or active pursuit of, or possession of, Professional Engineer licensure is strongly preferred.
• Ability to travel as needed for clients and project development.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of GMP manufacturing environments.
• Experience with pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, and cell and gene therapy sectors.
