Mid-Level Plumbing Design Engineer (Building Systems)

Location: Multiple United States locations, including Lenexa, Phoenix, Nashville, Philadelphia, Plano, Denver, New York City, Las Vegas, Bentonville, Los Angeles, Houston, and Kansas City. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $83,600–$145,200 annually in Denver, with location-specific ranges available for other United States offices.

What you will do

• Perform calculations and design basic to advanced plumbing and engineering systems independently.
• Prepare detailed system layouts, drawings, and schematics.
• Review shop drawings for compliance with project plans and specifications.
• Research equipment and products, evaluate their suitability, and recommend viable solutions.
• Coordinate project scope, schedules, client meetings, quality, questions, and delivery as needed.
• Support business development, client relationships, and the training of other staff.

Requirements

• Mid-Level II: bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field and 3 years of relevant experience, or 5 years of experience without a degree.
• Experience Level III: bachelor's degree and 7 years of relevant experience, or 9 years without a degree.
• Professional Engineering licensure may count toward one year of direct experience.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of engineering design, A&E practices, codes, design guides, and standards.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineering license.
• FE exam completion, LEED accreditation, or WELL accreditation.
