Public Affairs Manager (AI Infrastructure)

Location: On-site in Austin, TX; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Seattle, WA

Salary: $215,000 – $288,000

What you will do

• Manage public affairs for data center and power projects, engaging with local officials, community groups, and the public.
• Build community support through town halls, briefings, and strategic relationship management.
• Develop and execute response plans for projects facing media attention, hearings, or public opposition.
• Partner with development, legal, and government relations teams to ensure consistent external messaging.

Requirements

• Experience in public affairs or community relations for infrastructure, energy, or land development projects.
• Proven ability to manage skeptical stakeholders and de-escalate tense situations.
• Strong coalition-building skills with local stakeholders.
• Excellent writing skills for talking points, letters, and testimony.
• Deep understanding of local political landscapes and county-level dynamics.

Nice to have

• Experience with data center or utility siting.
• Background in political campaigns or government relations.
• Expertise in crisis communications.
• Familiarity with Texas or upstate New York markets.
