National Security Policy Senior Manager (AI): Supporting AI policy engagement with the U.S. national security apparatus, Congress, and the Administration with an accent on defense policy, government relations, and translating business objectives into policy strategy. Focus on coordinating Public Sector initiatives, analyzing legislative and regulatory developments, and building policy roadmaps around DoD budgets, programs, and executive branch actions.

Salary: $170,400–$205,000 USD base salary

What you will do

  • Support AI policy engagement with the national security apparatus, Congress, and the Administration.
  • Work with the Public Sector Business Unit on DoD and intelligence agency programs, including funding lines, requirements, and business growth initiatives.
  • Contribute to policy strategy and priorities while coordinating cross-functional workflows, templates, and recurring internal processes.
  • Prepare briefing materials, policy memos, talking points, internal updates, and synthesized analysis for senior leaders and external engagements.
  • Track stakeholders, relationships, engagement follow-through, and key national security policy developments.
  • Maintain a policy calendar and roadmap covering PPBE timelines, DoD budget and program decisions, leadership transitions, and executive branch actions.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in defense policy, government, defense technology, or the broader defense industry.
  • Experience contributing to consensus-building at trade associations, standards bodies, or similar organizations.
  • Experience supporting responses to rulemakings, requests for comment, or similar policy processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical experience through research or peer-reviewed publications, technology policy work in government, a technical Executive Branch agency, or the technology sector.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
