Director of Communications (Cybersecurity)

Location: Must be based in the Bay Area

Salary: $200,000–$230,000 per year, plus equity and bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Build and lead hirify.global’s global communications strategy and company narrative.
• Own thought leadership through bylines, research, executive ghostwriting, speaking opportunities, and industry commentary.
• Develop relationships with journalists, industry analysts, influencers, customers, and ecosystem partners.
• Advise the CEO and executive team on high-stakes external communications, funding news, breach commentary, controversies, and market announcements.
• Partner with product marketing, product management, demand, and sales to align communications with go-to-market and pipeline priorities.
• Develop cybersecurity crisis and issues communications plans, manage PR agencies and the communications budget, and report on communications impact.

Requirements

• 15+ years of communications experience, including significant B2B software experience and deep cybersecurity expertise.
• Proven success building executive thought leadership platforms and analyst and influencer relationships across the security industry.
• Experience advising C-level executives and working directly with a CEO on high-stakes communications.
• Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to explain complex technical and security concepts clearly.
• Strong collaboration, judgment, discretion, ownership, and execution skills.
• Active use of AI tools to modernize and improve communications work.
