Sr Manager, Staff Engineering - (Software Development / Microservices) - Hybrid

Annual salary: $140,000–$300,000

What you will do

• Lead the strategy and execution of technical roadmaps for hirify.global’s core insurance platform.
• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing engineering team while supporting performance evaluations and skill development.
• Drive architecture, system design, and implementation of AI-powered solutions and core services.
• Develop APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, messaging solutions, and storage or persistence implementations.
• Improve application performance, availability, resiliency, capacity, and production reliability.
• Manage project dependencies, risks, priorities, delivery milestones, team capacity, and stakeholder communication.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 5+ years in large-scale, mission-critical environments.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience supervising personnel in a technical environment.
• Extensive experience leading the design, implementation, and adoption of AI technologies, with hands-on knowledge of AI/ML, generative AI, and enterprise-scale AI solutions.
• Fluency with C#/.NET, HTML5, JavaScript/TypeScript, XML, JSON, RESTful web services, and event-driven architectures.
• Strong knowledge of system design, architecture, APIs, microservices, gRPC, cloud platforms, SQL and NoSQL databases, monitoring, performance assessment, and site reliability engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience with automated unit, integration, and end-to-end functional testing, plus a bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field or equivalent experience.
