What you will do

• Lead, coach, hire, onboard, and develop a high-performing full-stack software engineering team while remaining hands-on in the codebase.
• Set technical direction for front-end applications, back-end services, APIs, and microservices through design reviews, prototypes, code reviews, and direct contributions.
• Own roadmap development, backlog refinement, release planning, team capacity, sprint commitments, and delivery dependencies for the remote services portfolio.
• Establish engineering standards for automated testing, CI/CD, observability, production readiness, and secure remote access.
• Partner with product, marketing, infrastructure, security, support, and senior stakeholders on priorities, risks, incidents, budgets, and vendors.
• Lead AI-first engineering practices by evaluating coding assistants, agentic workflows, security guardrails, and measured improvements to delivery quality and cycle time.

Requirements

• 8+ years of full-stack software engineering experience with recent hands-on coding experience.
• 4+ years of management experience, including leading, hiring, developing, and retaining engineering talent.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience with cloud-native applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of modern web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, and React.
• Understanding of remote access protocols, VPNs, security best practices, Agile, Clean Code, and XP methods.
