What you will do

• Own delivery roadmap for platform modernization including migration, API extraction, and frontend decoupling.
• Build and scale AI-assisted engineering practices with repo instructions, prompt playbooks, and productivity measurements.
• Partner with senior engineers on technical direction for service boundaries, data strategies, and tech debt management.
• Hire, develop, and foster high-performing team culture of ownership and psychological safety.
• Ensure security, compliance, and quality guardrails in regulated healthcare environment.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align engineering plans with business priorities.

Requirements

• 8+ years software engineering, 3+ years engineering management leading teams of 5+ engineers
• 5+ years C# and modern .NET with hands-on refactoring in large codebases
• 8+ years SQL experience in schema design, query tuning, data-heavy apps
• Active use of AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex) and coaching others
• US-based remote work

Nice to have

• Distributed systems (Kafka, event-driven), Angular/React
• AI-assisted practices at team level, progressive delivery
• Regulated domains experience (healthcare, fintech)
