Senior Accounting Manager (Crypto)

Polymarket operates a peer-to-peer prediction market platform where users trade on outcomes across politics, economics, sports, culture, and current affairs.

What you will do

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, including general ledger operations, journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews under US GAAP.
• Research and document technical accounting positions covering revenue recognition, business combinations, and internal-use software.
• Lead financial reporting, support external audits, and build the internal controls framework.
• Manage intercompany accounting and consolidated financials across domestic and international entities.
• Scope and implement ERP, automation, and other accounting systems to improve scalability and accuracy.
• Partner with legal, product, and business development on product launches, monetization changes, international expansion, and M&A.

Requirements

• Active CPA license.
• 8–10 or more years of progressive accounting experience, including work with high-growth private companies and public company environments.
• Deep technical GAAP knowledge, including the ability to research complex topics, write accounting memos, and explain conclusions clearly.
• Experience leading close processes in high-transaction-volume environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with modern finance tools such as Ramp, Brex, or a modern ERP.

Nice to have

• 3 or more years of Big 4 public accounting experience.
• Direct experience with crypto accounting or digital asset platforms.
• SQL skills or willingness to learn.
• Experience with international accounting, multi-entity consolidations, or M&A transactions.
