Microelectronics Integration and Test Engineer

Salary: $75,000–$156,000 base salary per year

What you will do

• Define integration and test approaches for components, subsystems, and complete systems, then execute the plans independently.
• Integrate and test custom analog and digital ASICs, MEMS, and related microelectronic systems.
• Perform bring-up, debugging, electrical testing, performance characterization, reliability stress testing, radiation testing, and evaluation across extreme environments.
• Develop test requirements, test concepts, test plans, test methods, verification matrices, and characterization plans.
• Collaborate with hardware and software design teams to improve design-for-test capabilities and system testability.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations, communicate risks to program leadership, and lead test campaigns supporting multiple program offices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in systems engineering or a relevant role.
• Experience integrating and testing microelectronic systems, including ASICs and preferably printed circuit boards.
• Experience with electronics test equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, and thermal chambers.
• Strong documentation, analysis, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a secret government security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience automating tests and analyzing test data with Python, MATLAB, or another scripting language.
• Exposure to MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-883 test methods.
• Experience with manual or automated probe station operation.
• Experience developing verification plans from requirements and leading verification and validation test campaigns.
