TL;DR
Lead Software Engineer/Software Engineer (ServiceNow) (ServiceNow/Enterprise Automation): Building and supporting enterprise ServiceNow applications, workflows, REST APIs, and integrations with an accent on platform automation, reliability, and employee experience. Focus on designing scalable solutions, troubleshooting complex platform and integration issues, and improving engineering standards across the ServiceNow platform.
Location: Hybrid work based in or near Bloomington, Illinois; Dunwoody, Georgia; Richardson, Texas; or Tempe, Arizona, within a 180-mile radius of a hub.
Salary: $85,500–$177,000 yearly, plus potential incentive pay of up to 15% of base salary.

What you will do
- Design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications, workflows, and user experiences.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and build automations that improve operational efficiency and reliability.
- Develop and maintain REST APIs and enterprise integrations.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, release readiness, and post-release support.
- Troubleshoot platform and integration issues, identify root causes, and implement durable fixes.
- Collaborate with architects, security, product, and engineering teams to establish scalable ServiceNow patterns and modernization practices.
Requirements
- Experience developing on ServiceNow or similar enterprise platforms.
- Strong object-oriented design and software engineering fundamentals.
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
- Familiarity with JavaScript, web technologies, and workflow automation.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and communicate clearly with technical and business partners.
- Must be eligible to work lawfully in the United States immediately; visa sponsorship is not available.
Nice to have
- ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CAD, or Certified Implementation Specialist.
- Experience with ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, IRM, SPM, or custom applications.
- Experience with Agile delivery, CI/CD pipelines, large enterprise environments, cloud concepts, or engineering leadership.
