Human Resources Coordinator (HR Operations/Workday): Supporting recruitment, employee lifecycle administration, HR reporting, onboarding, leave management, and interpretation of employment agreements with an accent on Workday processes, HR metrics, and unionized-environment compliance. Focus on developing analytical reports, improving HR and finance workflows, and providing accurate guidance on employment policies and collective agreements.

Location: hirify.global Vancouver Campus, Vancouver, BC, Canada; onsite

Salary: $5,692.25–$8,179.50 CAD monthly

What you will do

  • Provide recruitment support through Workday, including job descriptions, postings, resume reviews, telephone screening, interview coordination, offers, onboarding, and offboarding.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Workday HR processes, reporting, data extracts, and process improvements.
  • Develop HR dashboards, staffing and salary reports, quarterly metrics, financial analyses, and presentations for departments and senior management.
  • Lead HR orientation and onboarding programs, including training coordination and maintenance of materials.
  • Provide guidance on attendance, vacation, sick, maternity, parental, medical, unpaid leave, reduced appointments, and secondments.
  • Interpret employment agreements and university policies while partnering with HR, Finance, and departmental stakeholders on process and system improvements.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline and two to three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Human resources experience, preferably in a complex, unionized environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel formulas, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, databases, and internet applications.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, problem-solving, judgment, discretion, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Knowledge of current HR practices and provincial and federal legislation governing employers.
  • Ability to collaborate with departments, HR and Finance teams, union and association representatives, and diverse stakeholders.
