IT DevOps Application Engineer (Windows, Linux, CI/CD)

Location: On-site in San Diego, California, United States; a flexible workplace arrangement of up to two remote days per week may be available for eligible roles.

Salary: $102,375–$153,563 base annual salary.

What you will do

• Support and maintain Windows VDI, Citrix solutions, Linux HPC platforms, storage systems, and engineering simulation applications.
• Provide first-line technical support and troubleshoot issues for engineering users.
• Deploy, configure, validate, and maintain engineering and simulation software in Windows and Citrix environments.
• Design and maintain automated functional application testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives that increase reliability, scalability, and end-user productivity.
• Monitor platform performance and contribute to Agile/DevOps releases, migrations, and modernization projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least five years of experience supporting enterprise Windows desktop, virtual desktop, or Citrix environments.
• Experience with automated application testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
• Technical support experience with engineering or technical user communities.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work in a clean room while wearing the required protective clothing and equipment.

Nice to have

• PowerShell, Windows administration, Linux administration, CI/CD design, automated testing, or cloud-based DevOps experience.
• Experience with Ansys, Star-CCM+, HyperWorks, MATLAB, CFD, FEA, HPC, or engineering software deployment.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, SAFe, desktop modernization, virtualization, VDI, or cloud migration.
