Support Engineer, Automation & Cloud

Location: Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, United States; onsite weekend and off-hours coverage is required, and external candidates may need to attend an in-person interview.

Salary: USD 130,000–165,000 per year.

What you will do

• Provide advanced L3 support for media, cloud, automation, storage, and enterprise systems.
• Troubleshoot service, integration, permissions, networking, storage, and performance issues across Linux/Unix, macOS, and Windows.
• Support MAM/PAM and newsroom platforms, including Avid Interplay, Fonn Mimir, and Avid MediaCentral UX.
• Build and maintain automation for provisioning, configuration, patching, software deployment, monitoring, and operational workflows.
• Develop scripts, integrations, and infrastructure configurations using Python, YAML, JSON, XML, PHP, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, change management, documentation, and preventive reliability improvements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, DevOps, platform support, media technology, or advanced technical support.
• Proficiency in Python and working knowledge of YAML, JSON, XML, and PHP.
• Strong systems administration and troubleshooting skills across Linux/Unix, macOS, and Windows.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, Jamf, Munki, and Chocolatey.
• Knowledge of AWS cloud architecture, S3 storage lifecycle strategy, IAM, networking, observability, Amazon Bedrock, and AWS Elemental MediaConvert.
• Experience supporting MAM/PAM or media workflow platforms, with strong communication and incident-management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in broadcast, streaming, newsroom, post-production, or media supply-chain environments.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, monitoring and alerting platforms, virtualization, containers, and IT service-management processes.
• Experience modernizing legacy workflows, integrating enterprise platforms, or leading vendor troubleshooting calls.
