Sr. Cloud Engineer III (Azure)

Location: Arlington, VA, United States. Employment eligibility in the United States must be verified upon hire.

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 per year, plus potential performance bonuses and other incentives.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain secure Azure infrastructure across virtual machines, networks, databases, storage, identity, and connectivity services.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Terraform, Azure Resource Manager templates, and Ansible.
• Implement cloud security, access controls, encryption, monitoring, and compliance practices aligned with FedRAMP, NIST, and applicable DoD standards.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps Pipelines.
• Support hybrid-cloud migrations and integrations with on-premises infrastructure using Azure Arc, Azure Migrate, and Azure Site Recovery.
• Build automation, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery solutions while collaborating with clients, DevOps teams, and security engineers.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance.
• 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or systems administration, including 5+ years focused on Azure cloud engineering.
• 5+ years of experience with infrastructure as code, Terraform, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines.
• 4+ years of experience with PowerShell scripting, plus proficiency in Python, Bash, and YAML/JSON.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub, Azure DevOps, hybrid environments, and multi-cloud integrations.
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking, Azure Active Directory, encryption, security monitoring, and compliance frameworks. Azure Solutions Architect certification or an equivalent Azure certification is preferred.
