Azure/AWS Cloud Engineer

Location: Huntsville, Alabama; candidates must reside within 70 miles of Redstone Arsenal.

Salary: $85,000–$140,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Engineer and operate secure, performant, scalable cloud solutions in government-provided hybrid cloud environments.
• Support DoD cloud strategies across IaaS, PaaS, DaaS, SaaS, and Cloud Service Offerings.
• Design cloud-native architectures and analyze business, system, and technical requirements.
• Build deployment and process automation using scripts, APIs, platforms, and cloud-native services.
• Operate integrated DevSecOps environments with infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide advanced customer support, troubleshoot complex issues, and produce technical and operational documentation.

Requirements

• Secret security clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of cloud-related support experience, or 16 years of experience without the degree.
• Hands-on experience with both Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• DoD 8570/8140-aligned certification, such as CompTIA Security+.
• Experience with DoD cloud governance, RMF, SCCA, security, Active Directory, ACAS, IAM, Zero Trust, and STIG remediation.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, Terraform, Ansible, Git, Jenkins, AWS CodeCommit, AWS CodePipeline, Kubernetes, ECS, Docker, Linux or Windows administration, and GitOps practices.

Nice to have

• AWS cloud certifications such as Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or Developer.
