What you will do

• Provide expert 2nd level technical support for industrial networking products.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and recreate customer-reported issues to determine root causes.
• Advise customers on network design, configuration, and best practices for scalability.
• Create knowledge base articles, application notes, and technical how-to guides.
• Provide technical direction and design assistance to internal teams.
• Travel periodically (approx. 30%) for onsite support and collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong background in ethernet communication, OSPF routing, and legacy protocols (T1/E1, RS232/422/485).
• Deep understanding of MPLS-TP architecture, label switching, and fault-tolerant protection switching.
• Proven ability to use Wireshark for network data analysis and troubleshooting.
• Effective communication and analytical skills for working with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Programming or scripting skills in Python.
• CCNA or CCNP certifications.
• Experience with Power Transmission, Distribution, or Transportation applications.
