Quality Transformation Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Murphy, North Carolina, United States; domestic and international travel may be required up to 10% of the time.

Salary: $60,000–$80,000 annually

What you will do

• Develop, standardize, and deploy quality systems across the value stream from suppliers through final assembly and shipment.
• Improve process capability, reduce defects and variation, and implement Built-In Quality principles.
• Manage supplier quality performance, audits, qualifications, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives using 8D, DMAIC, A3, and 5-Why problem-solving methods.
• Analyze quality and supplier performance data and support real-time performance monitoring.
• Facilitate Kaizen events and coach teams and suppliers on SPC, PFMEA, mistake-proofing, and Lean/Shingo principles.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a bachelor’s degree with relevant quality experience.
• Alternatively, an associate degree with at least 3 years of related quality experience.
• Ability to work in a team-based manufacturing environment.
• Ability to collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, suppliers, and customers.
• Ability to work onsite in Murphy, North Carolina.
• This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
