Supplier Quality Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Boulder, Colorado, United States

Salary: $85,000–$105,000 per year, depending on experience

What you will do

• Lead new supplier qualification and approval, including supplier assessments, risk evaluations, validation activities, First Article Inspections, and supplier quality requirements.
• Develop and execute risk-based supplier audits, manage findings, and verify corrective action effectiveness.
• Manage supplier quality documentation, quality agreements, certifications, approved supplier status, and records in the Quality Management System.
• Evaluate supplier changes, deviations, concessions, nonconformances, and corrective actions before implementation.
• Own supplier scorecards, performance metrics, quality trend analysis, segmentation, monitoring plans, and supplier development activities.
• Partner with suppliers, Engineering, Manufacturing, Receiving Inspection, Supply Chain, and Operations to resolve issues affecting production, delivery, and customer requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, or a related technical role.
• Knowledge of quality systems and tools, including nonconformance management, root cause analysis, CAPA, and risk assessment.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, assess risk, investigate quality issues, and make sound quality decisions.
• Strong collaboration, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities through completion.
• Visa sponsorship is not available. The position is subject to information controlled by ITAR.

Nice to have

• Experience with supplier qualification, supplier audits, SCARs, supplier performance management, or manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management system standards.
• Experience with FAI, incoming inspection, process validation, or process risk assessments.
• Knowledge of FMEA, SPC, MSA, 5 Why, or Ishikawa analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems, SAP, Power BI, Minitab, SQL, internal auditing, or quality certifications such as CQE, CSQP, or ASQ certifications.
