Junior Oracle PL/SQL Developer (Oracle)

Location: Jersey City, New Jersey; onsite from day one with a hybrid schedule

Salary: $56,186–$87,556 gross annual base salary

What you will do

• Create Oracle procedures, functions, triggers, packages, materialized views, and views using Oracle 11g and 12c features.
• Build ETL processes with Python, Oracle, Unix batch processing, and real-time stream processing.
• Load and cleanse large datasets from multiple vendors, perform transformations, and support data modeling and analytics.
• Tune the performance of existing SQL and PL/SQL objects and develop optimized database objects.
• Automate batch processing with Unix shell scripts, generate operational reports, and automate flat-file loading with SQL*Loader.
• Analyze interface failures, remediate data issues, and maintain technical specifications, mappings, program logic, and flowcharts.

Requirements

• Experience creating and optimizing Oracle SQL and PL/SQL objects.
• Strong Oracle performance-tuning skills.
• Experience with ETL, data cleansing, data transformation, data loading, and data modeling.
• Ability to develop complex Unix shell scripts and queries for issue diagnosis.
• Ability to understand end-to-end data flow from the user interface to the database.
• Ability to perform QA for assigned tasks and use GitHub Copilot or other developer-assistance tools.
