Senior Database Developer

Location: Huntsville, Alabama; on-site

Salary: $140,000–$160,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, construct, deploy, and maintain high-performance enterprise data warehouses for large-scale government initiatives.
• Translate mission requirements into scalable data warehouse architectures with stakeholders.
• Optimize performance through indexing, partitioning, and storage strategies.
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for loading data into the warehouse.
• Implement data verification and testing methods to maintain data integrity.
• Document data models, schemas, testing procedures, and integrations with analytics and visualization tools.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of professional experience in database development and data warehousing.
• Experience designing, constructing, and deploying enterprise-scale data warehouses.
• Strong SQL proficiency and advanced data modeling skills.
• Experience implementing data verification and validation methods.

Nice to have

• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or Apache Spark.
• Knowledge of GitLab, Jira, and Agile development practices.
• Proficiency in Python or Scala for data manipulation and automation.
• Experience supporting Department of Defense or Intelligence Community data programs.
