Intermodal Equipment Manager (Logistics)

Salary: $79,000–$97,000 annually

What you will do

• Drive strategy and processes for securing intermodal container capacity with operations teams and vendors.
• Act as the primary escalation point for railroad partners when capacity commitments are not met.
• Manage equipment allocations, award management, street-turn utilization, gate reservations, and peak-season customer allocations.
• Build and maintain relationships with railroad partners and third-party vendors.
• Train, mentor, and manage the team while monitoring SLA performance through Front or similar tools.
• Analyze capacity, financial, and performance trends to optimize the network, control vendor expenses, and improve profitability and employee efficiency.

Requirements

• Prior intermodal experience in capacity solutions, operations, or a related area.
• Experience with Bloom or related railroad technology and websites.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
• Strong relationship-building, cross-functional collaboration, organization, prioritization, and communication skills.

• Prior leadership or management experience leading a team.
