Logistics Engineer 1 (Asset Management Team)

Location: US-WV-Martinsburg; travel required 25% of the time

What you will do

• Manage the complete lifecycle of IT assets and Configuration Items from procurement through decommissioning.
• Manage Moves, Adds, and Changes tickets in ServiceNow.
• Coordinate shipping, receiving, installation, removal, and transportation of server and network equipment.
• Perform annual audits and maintain asset inventory, accountability, and compliance with VA policies.
• Develop and implement logistics procedures for asset redistribution, reutilization, and disposal.
• Support logistics analysis, special projects, and sequencing of logistics activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 0–2 years of experience, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with large-scale asset management and logistics environments.
• Moderate proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong Excel spreadsheet skills.
• Moderate proficiency using ticketing systems and the ability to work with ERP systems.
• Technical understanding of network equipment, networking functions, datacenter operations, and hardware installation schematics.
• Ability to pass a government Tier 2 Moderate Background Investigation. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
