Imports and Exports Specialist (International Logistics)

Location: Elkridge, Maryland, US; onsite position. External applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the USA.

Salary: $65,000–$75,000 annually.

What you will do

• Track inbound international shipments from order placement through yard receipt, maintaining ETAs and escalating delays, shortages, and discrepancies.
• Coordinate customs clearance documentation with brokers and freight forwarders, verifying invoices, HTS classifications, country of origin, and valuation.
• Manage end-to-end container shipments for equipment arriving from the German counterpart team and third-party suppliers.
• Coordinate communication between US yards, international teams, logistics providers, customs brokers, Customer Service, and Demand Planning.
• Monitor material availability, identify potential service interruptions or backorders, and communicate supply needs.
• Model tariff and other cost impacts in Excel and maintain shipment data in the PSD ERP system.

Requirements

• Authorization to work for any employer in the USA is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of exhirify.globalence in import/export operations or international logistics.
• Knowledge of material management software; PSD or another ERP is preferred.
• Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, strategic thinking, time management, resilience, and collaboration skills.
