TL;DR
Program Manager, Harmful Activity (AI Safety and Content Integrity): Driving standards, detection requirements, automation, and operational health for harmful activity programs across product, engineering, policy, legal, and operations with an accent on scalable enforcement quality and risk management. Focus on translating legal and policy constraints into workflows and controls, resolving complex escalations, and using operational signals to improve coverage, precision, and automated enforcement.

Location: Bastrop, Texas; New York, New York; or Palo Alto, California

Salary: $110,000–$145,000 USD per year, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

  • Drive priorities, success measures, and system health for harmful activity programs.
  • Define requirements and success criteria for detection, classifiers, and automated enforcement.
  • Translate legal, policy, and technical constraints into workflows, controls, requirements, and escalation paths.
  • Identify framework gaps and improve policies, procedures, operating standards, and documentation.
  • Own escalations, quality assurance, and complex residual case patterns while improving enforcement quality.
  • Coordinate Product, Engineering, Policy, Legal, and Operations partners, and report performance, risks, and recommendations to leadership.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in content integrity, safety operations, abuse operations, or related program roles supporting large-scale enforcement or risk programs.
  • Experience managing program priorities, measures, and operational health for content or risk domains.
  • Working knowledge of harmful activity domains and the impact of policy, legal, and technical constraints.
  • Experience converting policy or legal requirements into practical workflows, controls, and escalation paths.
  • Experience with automated or model-driven enforcement systems, including detection, classifiers, or policy automation.
  • Strong analytical, written, verbal, and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Must meet U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements: U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorization.

Nice to have

  • Direct experience with harmful activity, integrity, or abuse programs at scale.
  • Experience owning escalations, quality assurance, or residual case handling for enforcement programs.
  • Exposure to synthetic content, model misuse, or scaled manipulation risks.
  • Background in high-scale consumer platforms, marketplaces, or technology products.
