Senior Software Engineer, Android (Kotlin)

Location: San Francisco, CA headquarters or remote within the U.S.

Salary: $164,000–$220,000 annual total compensation, including salary and equity

What you will do

• Build and maintain fully native Android applications used by healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA, and developers to deliver mobile projects end to end.
• Make decisions about scope, complexity, timing, and technical implementation.
• Design flexible, modular, and reusable code using Clean Architecture and Kotlin.
• Mentor engineers, share knowledge, and conduct thorough code reviews.
• Write tests, monitor applications, report issues, and troubleshoot bugs.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of Kotlin and at least 7 years of professional Android SDK development experience.
• Experience with the full application lifecycle, from development through Google Play release.
• Experience with JUnit and Android instrumentation testing.
• Understanding of design patterns, asynchronous programming, and network communication.
• Ability to self-manage, follow through reliably, and communicate clearly.
• Desire to mentor other software engineers.

• Experience with Clean Architecture.
• Experience with AI agentic development.
• Knowledge of current Android patterns and libraries.
