Salary: $218,400–$365,200 annually; in select San Francisco and New York City metropolitan areas, $263,200–$401,400 annually.

What you will do

• Define multi-year technical strategy for hirify.global’s Android and mobile platform across multiple teams.
• Lead complex, ambiguous initiatives from technical exploration through production rollout and long-term evolution.
• Prototype Android experiences and partner with Product and Design leadership on scalable user experiences.
• Drive improvements in performance, reliability, accessibility, developer productivity, testing, observability, and operational excellence.
• Shape mobile architecture and infrastructure for future investments, including AI-powered experiences.
• Mentor Staff and Senior engineers and influence technical direction through architecture reviews and strategy.

Requirements

• 15+ years of professional software engineering experience, including extensive production Android development.
• Deep expertise in Kotlin and modern Android development.
• Expert understanding of Android architecture, application lifecycle, concurrency, networking, and performance optimization at scale.
• Experience leading large, ambiguous, organization-wide technical initiatives and scalable architectures.
• Strong communication, product intuition, ownership, execution, and cross-functional influence.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jetpack Compose and modern Android architecture patterns.
• Experience building shared platforms, design systems, or developer infrastructure for multiple teams.
• Experience with large-scale migrations, architectural transformations, performance optimization, reliability, and observability.
• Open source or Android community contributions, or external recognition of technical leadership.
• Experience with collaboration, productivity, messaging, AI, or enterprise software.
