Claims Appraiser - Auto Estimatics

Location: Remote-Field in Gulfport, Mississippi; candidates should reside within a commutable distance of the territory. The role combines work from home with in-person appointments at body shops and customer locations and may require work outside the assigned territory, flexible shifts, overtime, or irregular hours.

Salary: $63,089.65–$82,000 annually, plus potential yearly incentive pay of up to 15% of base salary.

What you will do

• Collect vehicle information from repair shops and customers and complete initial and supplemental estimates using photos or in-person inspections.
• Explain coverage, estimate vehicle damage, and guide insured customers through the claims process.
• Use automated estimating systems to prepare repair estimates.
• Provide technical support to claim handlers on vehicle repair issues.
• Evaluate market value, reparability, bid content, photo documentation, vehicle damage, and causation issues.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls and resolve customer and repair-shop inquiries professionally.

Requirements

• Experience in auto collision repair, auto damage estimating, and/or auto insurance appraisal.
• Excellent customer service, critical thinking, decision-making, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask across technical platforms and demonstrate accountability and resourcefulness.
• Physical agility for stooping, bending, and some lifting while evaluating vehicle damage.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Successful completion of required training, applicable proficiency and licensing exams, Motor Vehicle Record checks, and background checks.

Nice to have

• Motor Vehicle Physical Damage Appraiser License.
• Knowledge of CCC One and/or Mitchell.
• I-CAR Platinum Certification.
