Auto Damage Trainee (Field) (Automotive)

Location: Field territory in Lansing, Michigan, United States; this is not a remote role. Required training includes three weeks at the Ashburn, Virginia facility and two weeks at a field training center in New York, Texas, or California.

Salary: $27.98–$43.75 per year, with the final rate depending on experience, education, training, location, and business considerations.

What you will do

• Inspect vehicles and assess accident-related damage.
• Review insurance contracts and write vehicle repair estimates.
• Negotiate equitable claim settlements and resolve customer concerns.
• Coordinate with body shops, rental companies, and parts providers.
• Manage rental cars and support a positive customer experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; a college degree is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license meeting company underwriting guidelines required.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, problem-solving, empathy, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Customer-facing or high-volume call center experience is preferred.
• An active adjuster’s license is preferred; training and examination fees are provided.
