EHS Director

Location: Newark, NJ, United States

Salary: $150,000–$160,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs across departments, employees, and divisions.
• Plan and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal OSHA regulations.
• Develop EHS training, communications, safety campaigns, and hazard prevention programs for employees and managers.
• Conduct compliance audits and inspections, document findings, and verify completion of follow-up actions.
• Assess the environmental, health, and safety impact of new processes and equipment and define appropriate objectives.
• Maintain EHS knowledge resources in the 4Insite software program and report performance to EHS leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field, with 5–8 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, accepted EHS standards, reporting requirements, audits, inspections, and safety program administration.
• Experience with employee and management training, policy implementation, compliance assessment, and continuous improvement.
• Management experience, including hiring, work planning, performance evaluations, employee training, and problem resolution.
• A valid driver’s license may be required.
• Regular travel is required.
