Facility Safety Program Manager (Environmental Safety)

Location: On-site in La Porte, Texas, USA, with regular presence at five Houston-area facilities and occasional after-hours or weekend emergency calls.

Salary: $79,300–$105,600 USD per annum, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Direct and support health and safety programs across five Houston-area facilities.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, maritime security, hazardous-waste, environmental, and other state and federal regulations.
• Develop safety procedures, specialized training programs, JHAs, PPE requirements, and certification programs.
• Conduct daily inspections, incident investigations, audits, corrective actions, and regulatory reporting.
• Manage injury cases, workers’ compensation issues, medical surveillance, industrial hygiene activities, and insurance claims.
• Maintain safety records and reporting data in Ideagen, ISN Networld, and GPI Learn Plus while coordinating with plant personnel and auditors.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of health and safety management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of OSHA 1910 and 1926 and Title 33 Maritime Security regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in safety, health, science, or a related field.
• Experience managing and mentoring teams, delivering training, presentations, and reports.
• Knowledge of health, safety, environmental, DOT, hazardous-waste, and employment regulations.
• Ability to travel, work independently, wear required PPE and respirators, climb structures, and work in industrial outdoor conditions.
