Lead AI Engineer (Agentic AI)

Salary: $129,300–$177,800 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan

What you will do

• Lead the architecture, development, deployment, and scaling of production-grade Agentic AI solutions for software delivery modernization.
• Design intelligent agents and multi-agent orchestration capabilities for coding, code review, testing, documentation, security, operations, incident response, and developer assistance.
• Build reusable APIs, SDKs, frameworks, runtimes, governance controls, and developer tooling for enterprise AI adoption.
• Integrate AI services with GitHub, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Jira, SonarQube, Snyk, and internal developer platforms.
• Establish engineering standards for architecture, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, DevSecOps, observability, resilience, and operational readiness.
• Lead technical design, mentor engineers, evaluate emerging AI technologies, and partner with architecture, security, product, platform, and operations teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience building enterprise applications and platforms, including 3+ years building, deploying, or leading production AI/ML solutions.
• Strong expertise in LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, vector search, prompt engineering, and AI orchestration frameworks.
• Proficiency in Python and at least one additional modern programming language, preferably C#/.NET.
• Experience with cloud-native applications on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform, plus distributed systems, APIs, microservices, testing, CI/CD, and DevSecOps.
• Experience with production observability, monitoring, resilience, operational support, technical leadership, mentoring, and cross-team communication.

Nice to have

• Experience deploying agentic or autonomous AI systems, reusable AI platforms, shared services, developer tooling, or AI-assisted engineering platforms.
• Experience with multi-agent orchestration, AI runtimes, workflow automation, model evaluation, fine-tuning, and advanced machine learning.
• Experience in regulated environments such as healthcare, financial services, or government.
• Knowledge of AI governance, responsible AI, model monitoring, and risk management frameworks.
• Open-source contributions, patents, technical publications, conference presentations, or industry thought leadership.
