Manager of People Finance (Insurance)

Location: Bethesda, Maryland, United States. Must be eligible to work in the United States without work visa or residency sponsorship.

Annual salary: $115,825–$189,625.

What you will do

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&A processes, including management reporting, variance analysis, forecasting, and scenario planning.
• Compare anticipated and actual results to identify trends and provide actionable financial insights.
• Coordinate and consolidate financial risks and opportunities for near- and long-term forecasts with stakeholders.
• Lead ad hoc analysis to support cost rationalization and growth opportunities.
• Support the end-to-end budget process and provide financial advice to People Group leaders.
• Improve reporting accuracy and efficiency through single-source-of-truth reporting, process optimization, and automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field.
• 5+ years of directly related financial analysis experience.
• Deep understanding of financial and accounting principles.
• Experience making strategic financial contributions in complex business settings and preparing senior management reports and presentations.
• Ability to communicate complex data clearly to stakeholders at all management levels.
• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI skills.

Nice to have

• MBA and/or CPA.
• People Finance or insurance industry experience.
• Data analytics and change management experience.
• Experience with financial planning software such as Oracle.
