Principal Product Engineer (AI Hardware)

What you will do

• Lead new product introduction for AI server systems from prototype through high-volume production at global contract manufacturers.
• Act as the primary interface with contract manufacturers and suppliers, resolving manufacturing, quality, and field issues.
• Drive design-for-manufacturability, design-for-test, and design-for-assembly improvements, including factory readiness, yield, and production process optimization.
• Define manufacturing test coverage and data strategies, execute reliability validation, and monitor capacity, yield, and quality.
• Manage BOM accuracy, engineering and manufacturing changes, supplier PCNs, alternate components, and end-of-life replacements.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, firmware, systems engineering, test, platform, manufacturing, supply chain, and customer service teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in new product introduction, manufacturing engineering, or hardware development.
• Experience supporting products from prototype through high-volume manufacturing.
• Expertise in PCB design considerations for DFM, DFT, and DFA.
• Experience with hardware failure analysis, root-cause investigation, corrective actions, manufacturing test development, yield analysis, and reliability validation.
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management systems such as Oracle Fusion Cloud.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10 years of experience with supply chains, manufacturing, and testing for new server and storage products in the IT industry.
• Experience with data analytics, quality data systems, manufacturing automation, and AI/GenAI for process improvement.
• Experience developing manufacturing test systems, setting test limits, and ensuring test coverage.
