Company

hirify.global develops risk-aware, reliable, field-ready AI systems and robotics solutions for complex real-world environments.

What you will do

  • Design regulated power systems, voltage rails, DC/DC converters, switches, fuses, grounding schemes, and custom wire harnesses.
  • Create PCB schematics and layouts for power distribution, protocol bridging, and embedded control using KiCAD, Altium, or equivalent tools.
  • Architect wired and wireless communication systems using Ethernet, USB, CAN, I2C, WiFi, 5G, and related protocols.
  • Perform electrical calculations, maintain power and bandwidth budgets, and engineer for signal integrity, EMI/EMC robustness, thermal resilience, and fault isolation.
  • Validate power and communications performance, debug system faults with electrical test equipment, and support integration, deployment, and field servicing.
  • Work with mechanical, sensor, compute, autonomy, vendor, and contract manufacturing teams to deliver integrated robotic hardware.

Requirements

  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
  • Experience designing and testing low-voltage regulated power systems and custom wire harnesses for robotics or automotive-style systems.
  • Proficiency with PCB schematic and layout design using KiCAD, Altium, or equivalent tools.
  • Familiarity with USB, Ethernet, CAN, I2C, GMSL, and wireless technologies.
  • Experience using oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and EMI/EMC testing setups, with the ability to produce detailed electrical documentation.
  • Ability to collaborate across mechanical, compute, sensing, autonomy, and embedded systems domains.

Nice to have

  • Experience scaling systems from prototype to large-scale production.
  • Experience developing hardware for harsh field environments or deployed autonomous vehicles, drones, and ruggedized robots.
  • Systems-level robotics knowledge across electrical, mechanical, and software systems.
  • Background in fault protection, EMI/EMC compliance, reliability engineering, and safety-critical design.

Culture & Benefits

  • Work with a small, fast-moving hardware team focused on improving core capabilities, reliability, and scalability.
  • Opportunity to build operational systems and procedures from the ground up.
  • Work on robotics solutions deployed in real-world environments.
  • Inclusive workplace with evaluation based on merit, qualifications, and performance.
  • Hybrid or remote work arrangements may be explored in addition to the listed on-site setup.
