Head of Plant Control Software (Engineering)

What you will do

• Lead and grow a multidisciplinary team covering firmware, application software, networking, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
• Own the delivery of the plant control software stack, including embedded, supervisory, and data layers.
• Partner with electrical, mechanical, systems, and science teams to coordinate software delivery against hardware schedules.
• Establish engineering principles for planning, testing, deployment, and fault response.
• Build the organizational structure to facilitate effective interaction between software and hardware teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience building complex control systems for hardware.
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role managing multidisciplinary software teams.
• Depth in real-time, embedded, or control software for physical systems.
• Proven track record of delivering software against hardware on a shared schedule.
• Must be able to work on-site in Everett, WA.
• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
