Water Systems Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in Austin, TX; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Seattle, WA

What you will do

• Own water chemistry across the fleet's cooling systems, including treatment programs and monitoring.
• Engineer water systems such as makeup, treatment, filtration, and blowdown for reference designs.
• Establish coolant standards for direct liquid cooling, covering chemistry and materials compatibility.
• Manage vendor programs, holding treatment suppliers accountable for performance results.

Requirements

• Proven experience in industrial water treatment or cooling water chemistry.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve corrosion, scaling, or biological issues.
• Experience specifying treatment systems and managing vendor performance.
• Strong understanding of materials compatibility across metals, plastics, and coolants.
• Design expertise in monitoring systems to prevent equipment damage.

Nice to have

• Experience with direct liquid cooling coolant chemistry.
• Knowledge of cooling towers at scale and discharge permitting.
• CWT credential.
