On the Job Trainer (Weekday Day)

Location: Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, United States; on-site. Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, with occasional one- to two-hour schedule adjustments to support off-shift training.

Salary: $21.83–$25 per hour.

What you will do

• Train manufacturing employees on procedures, policies, systems, safety standards, and quality expectations through hands-on instruction.
• Create and maintain Work Instructions and other training materials with technical leads and managers.
• Use training materials to instruct employees and help them locate relevant work instructions.
• Maintain training plans and records, and coordinate skills certification with technical leads.
• Support training coverage for off-shift employees when needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area and improve work processes and individual performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of training or teaching experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing methodology.
• Ability to teach and influence employees in group and one-on-one settings and communicate technical work instructions to a culturally diverse workforce.
• Strong communication, presentation, organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills.
• Proficient English reading, writing, and speaking skills are required, along with basic arithmetic, computer, and calculator skills.
• Ability to meet the physical and skill requirements of the trained job area, including lifting or moving 50+ pounds and working around machinery and noise.
