The company owns and operates approximately 12 million square feet across 18 states and launched Haven Housing in May 2025 as an affordable housing and market-rate communities investment vertical.

What you will do

• Lead strategy, origination, underwriting, and closing of affordable housing transactions across multiple markets.
• Focus initially on age-restricted opportunities and existing properties or portfolios rather than ground-up development.
• Participate in establishing a five-year operating plan and build infrastructure to scale the affordable housing investment strategy.
• Oversee sourcing, due diligence, third-party report review, and coordination with legal and finance teams through closing.
• Prepare market analyses, underwriting, and deal summaries for recommended opportunities.
• Develop relationships with brokers, developers, lenders, and third-party management companies in target markets.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of real estate acquisition and underwriting experience.
• Knowledge of federal affordable housing programs, including LIHTC and HAP, as well as other legacy programs.
• Understanding of tax and financing alternatives for affordable housing transactions.
• Established relationships with regional third-party management companies and investment sale brokers.
• College degree in real estate, business, finance, or accounting.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, verbal, written communication, collaboration, and independent problem-solving skills; travel is required.
