Vice President Property Management (Operations)

Location: Denver, United States; on-site

Salary: $175,000–$235,000 base per year plus bonus incentives

Family-owned Colorado real estate company operating across development, investment, and property management, with commercial and residential properties including workforce and affordable housing.

What you will do

• Provide executive oversight of daily operations, asset quality, compliance, leasing, renewals, rent collection, resident relations, and commercial tenant administration.
• Monitor occupancy, NOI, expense ratios, renewals, capital projects, resident satisfaction, budgets, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• Partner with ownership on capital expenditure planning, value-add initiatives, annual business plans, reporting packages, and new management assignments.
• Lead the enterprise-wide implementation of a new property management software platform alongside the CFO, including scope, timelines, data migration, training, and post-go-live support.
• Coordinate with legal counsel, finance, accounting, IT, operations, vendors, owners, lenders, brokers, and community stakeholders.
• Lead, coach, and develop property management teams while managing staffing, succession planning, compensation strategy, and organizational growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• 8–10 years of progressive property management experience, including 3–5 years in a senior or director-level leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience managing multifamily residential and commercial assets simultaneously.
• Hands-on enterprise property management platform experience, including Yardi Voyager expertise.
• Strong financial analysis, leadership, communication, project management, change management, Excel, reporting, landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing, ADA compliance, and commercial lease knowledge.

Nice to have

• MBA or MS in Real Estate.
• CPM®, RPA®, or CCIM designation.
• Experience with major software migrations involving MRI, Yardi, RealPage, or an equivalent platform.
