Director of Resident Programs

Location: Northbrook, Illinois, USA; onsite role with driving responsibilities for resident trips.

Salary: From $68,500 per year

What you will do

• Plan and lead daily community programs, special events, holiday celebrations, and trips outside the community.
• Design programming across the seven areas of wellness: physical, social, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, vocational, and environmental.
• Build partnerships with residents, families, team members, sales and marketing, and community organizations.
• Develop monthly event calendars, newsletters, flyers, bulletin boards, and digital signs.
• Promote the community lifestyle through social media and oversee the resident ambassador program.
• Hire, train, mentor, and supervise department employees while managing equipment, supplies, budgets, expenses, and records.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, related education or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Entry-level experience of 0–3+ years, including experience leading small or large group events.
• English fluency required for speaking, reading, writing, and communication.
• Competence with Microsoft Suite, Outlook email, online learning portals, and social media.
• Ability to drive an automobile with the required license.
• Ability to maintain resident dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.

Nice to have

• Event planning and community partnership coordination experience.
• Fitness certification, musical ability, or artistic skills.
