On the Job Trainer (Weekday Night)

Location: Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, United States; on-site. Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 PM–3:00 AM, with a $2.40 shift differential.

Salary: $21.83–$25 per hour.

What you will do

• Train manufacturing employees on procedures, policies, work instructions, safety standards, and quality expectations.
• Create and maintain work instructions and other training materials with technical leads and managers.
• Deliver hands-on instruction and show learners how to locate relevant work instructions.
• Maintain training plans and records, and work with technical leads to certify skill attainment.
• Coordinate training coverage for off-shift employees by adjusting working hours when required.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area and continuously improve processes and individual performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of training or teaching experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing methodology.
• Ability to teach and influence employees individually and in groups, including a culturally diverse workforce.
• Strong communication, presentation, organizational, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficient English reading, writing, and speaking is required, along with basic arithmetic. Candidates must meet the physical and skill requirements of the trained job area and be able to lift or move up to 50+ pounds.
