Senior Organizational Change Manager

Location: Hybrid, with onsite presence four days per week, within a reasonable commuting distance of one of M&T Bank’s regional offices in Buffalo, Boston, Baltimore, Washington, Wilmington, New York, Bridgeport, or Burlington, United States.

Salary: $118,200–$197,000 annual (USD)

What you will do

• Assess business opportunities, organizational challenges, root causes, dependencies, stakeholder impacts, and readiness.
• Shape practical, scalable, and sustainable solutions with change management, customer research, service design, and Agile practitioners.
• Lead organizational change management for prioritized enterprise initiatives, including change strategies, communications, engagement, learning, and reinforcement.
• Coach executives, sponsors, leaders, and teams through complex organizational transformations.
• Measure adoption, readiness, risks, resistance, and change outcomes to improve implementation results.
• Advance enterprise change management standards, methodologies, tools, practices, and practitioner capability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least seven years of experience leading organizational change, transformation, organizational effectiveness, or related disciplines.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale, high-impact initiatives and delivering measurable outcomes in complex, matrixed organizations.
• Strong consulting, facilitation, influencing, systems thinking, and business acumen skills.
• Experience integrating change management strategies with Agile ways of working.
• Experience building organizational capability through coaching, mentoring, and professional practice development.
• Recognized change management certification such as Prosci or ACMP CCMP.

Nice to have

• MBA or advanced degree in organizational development, organizational behavior, change management, business administration, human-centered design, or a related field.
• Experience in banking or financial services.
• Experience with multidisciplinary transformation teams and matrixed leadership.
• Familiarity with Jira, Miro, Target Process, or similar collaboration and transparency tools.
