BOM Manager (Data Centers)

Location: On-site in Austin, TX

Salary: $155,000 – $183,000

What you will do

• Own the bill of materials for modular data center products across structural, mechanical, and electrical scopes.
• Drive engineering changes through the BOM to ensure design revisions land in purchasing and manufacturing without errors.
• Reconcile engineering BOMs against vendor quotes, purchase orders, and received materials to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Flag long-lead and single-source items to the supply chain team to protect build schedules.
• Establish part numbering, revision control, and change discipline to transition programs from prototype to fleet production.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Austin, TX.
• Proven experience owning multi-thousand-line BOMs through heavy engineering changes.
• Expertise in formal change control processes (ECOs, ECNs, redline to release).
• Experience reconciling BOMs against POs and physical inventory.
• Proficiency in administering PLM or ERP systems or managing complex BOMs at scale.
• Ability to bridge the gap between design engineers and procurement teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with modular construction or data center equipment.
• Proficiency with PLM systems like Arena, Windchill, or Teamcenter.
• ERP experience, specifically NetSuite or similar platforms.
• Background in long-lead procurement and configuration management for production environments.
